1. Who we are
This website, www.thelexsphere.com, is operated by The LexSphere, Maa Sharda Palace, Shivaji Nagar, Kandwa, Varanasi – 221106, Uttar Pradesh, India ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.
2. Data we collect
- Details you give us through our contact, consultation-booking, registration, internship, Academy and store forms: name, phone number, email address, the service or matter you are enquiring about, and anything you choose to write in a message or upload.
- WhatsApp and chat messages you send to our business number or website chat assistant.
- Account details if you register or log in: username, email and a securely hashed password.
- Payment information for paid products or courses. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we receive the transaction status and reference, not your full card or bank details.
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site working.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation and provide the services you ask for.
- To manage your account, Academy enrolment, certificates and purchases.
- To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of the website (for example through Google reCAPTCHA).
- To comply with legal and professional obligations.
We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form or contacting us, and on legitimate uses permitted by Section 7 of the DPDP Act. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unsolicited marketing.
4. Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run the website and our practice, and only as much as they need:
- Our hosting provider (servers located in India).
- Razorpay, for payments.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business) and Telegram, used to receive and notify us of enquiries.
- Google, for reCAPTCHA spam protection and embedded YouTube videos.
We may also disclose data where required by law, by a court order or by a competent authority.
5. Confidentiality
Information you share about a legal matter is treated as confidential. Please note, however, that submitting a form or message through this website does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship. Avoid sending highly sensitive documents until we have confirmed that we can act for you.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage items, for example to keep you logged in and to remember that you have accepted the website disclaimer. Embedded services such as YouTube and Google reCAPTCHA may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and consultation records for as long as needed to deal with your request and for any period required by law or professional rules, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to our admin systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India of a personal data breach as required by law.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, where we no longer need to keep it;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done);
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
To make a request, contact our Grievance Officer below. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian.
