The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Act, 1984

•The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Act, 1984 Act No. 19 of 1984 [8th May, 1984.] An Act further to amend the Government of Union Territories Act, 1963. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

SECTION 2

Short title

1.Short title.- This Act may be called the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Act, 1984.

SECTION 3

[Repealed.]

2.[Amendment of section 3.] Rep. by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1988 (19 of 1988), s. 2 and the First Schedule (w.e.f. 31-3-1988).

SECTION 4

[Repealed.]

3.[Insertion of new section 43E.] Rep. by s. 2 and the First Schedule, ibid (w.e.f. 31-3-1988).

SECTION 5

Validation

4.Validation.- Anything done or any action taken on or after the 1st day of March, 1984 and before the commencement of this Act for the purposes of elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Union territory of Mizoram shall be deemed to be, and to have always been, as validly and effectively done or taken as if the provisions of the principal Act as amended by section 3 had been in force at all material times.
